Monday we travelled from Gatwick to the States
for a weeks teaching.
We landed in Salt Lake, Utah late Monday evening and started teaching the next
day, (No rest for the wicked!!)
As always it is great to see our studants in Utah & Wyoming, this is the sixth year we have been going to the USA so have made some very good friends.
With temperatures in the 90's it was hot work,
we did 2 full days teaching in Heber, and then a day at the XC in Ogden.
An umbrella in the arena gave us very welcome relief.
It was a little cooler in Wilson, Jackson Hole,
Wyoming where we spent the next 3 days teaching.
The drive to and from Jackson is about 4 hours, normally we do this trip in the
dark so it was a nice change to do it in daylight.
Although a lot of the drive is extremely boring, the part of the trip over the
passes is stunning.
It really is the most beautiful area, and well worth the trip at any time of
year.
Driving back to Park City Sunday night, we
had a few hours on Monday morning before we caught the plane home.
We spent the time, visiting the Olympic park.
We had a ride on the Zip run. The fastest zip ride in the USA reaching speeds of
55 mph.
Mark had a fast ride on the sledge, but Tanya was rather more cautious!
