We were a little concerned with the date on Friday 13th but the day finished with no incidents.
Friday was also "Red nose day", the charity day to raise money for children in Need. BEDE events generously donated £10 for every competitor wearing a red nose in the SJ (we did have to modify this to red tape on the nosebands as some riders had trouble keeping the noses on!) They raised £700 from the SJ.
It was good to get the horses out even if some were a little fresh but we were very pleased with the outcome both days.
Tanya was very pleased with Bertie (Gortfadda Diamond) and Nikita, her pony, finishing 4th and 5th on them with double clears.
Mark didn't want to rush the start of his season, with only Erano running at Oasby, he did a lovely double clear.
Helen finished 8th on her horse and Rebecca finished 6th, both doing good double clears as well.
